Club Challenge Bowl

One of the oldest items of silverware in the Frinton Golf Club trophy cabinet is the Club Challenge Bowl that was first competed for in 1896. This year the name of John Rodda will be added to the impressive list of former winners. John scored a net 66 (gross 80 less handicap of 14) which left him two shots clear of second place Jason Nicholls who on any other day might have expected to be declared the winner having shot a gross 69 less handicap of one resulting in a net score of 68. Third place went to Luc Gagne who also posted a net score of 68, losing to Jason on count back.
