Cooper Cup

Article Published: Tuesday 13th October 2009 09:12:10 am

The Cooper Cup took place following a day of fierce coastal winds and all competitors were relieved that the wind had abated slightly although it was enough of a problem to restrict the scoring for most of the field so that only six golfers played better than their handicap. Of these, Mark Lee had the best round and scored an excellent 41 points from a handicap of 18 to win the Cooper Cup. In second place was Gavin Cowell, 38 points from a handicap of 5 with Jeff Zetter coming home third on countback having scored 37 points from his handicap of 6.
