Ladies Guest Day

The Ladies Guest Day took place in glorious sunshine and near perfect golfing conditions. The field of 22 pairs thoroughly enjoyed their day and this was reflected in the good scores. Four pairs were tied with 37 points for third place , the pairing of Mary Strutt and her guest Liz Beale from Driffield Golf Club leading the group on countback. The ever-consistent Marie Ellis and her partner Sarah Gordon from Aldeburgh Golf Club came second with 38 points. Top honours for the day were claimed by Ginny Richardson and her partner Sally Ceares from Chigwell Golf Club who had ‘one of those days’ when everything went right and came home several points ahead of the field with a tremendous 45 points.

Lady Captain Joan Withycombe was delighted with the day and thanked all of the guests for contributing to the success of the event.
