Visitors from Denmark

Frinton Golf Club was delighted to welcome a party of golfers who had come across on the ferry from Denmark to play the course. The leader of the group, Jan Skanderup, who is also President of Vejle Golf Club in Denmark, had been to Frinton once before. His previous trip in the 1990’s had ended without his being able to complete a full round as a thunderstorm and lighting strikes had rendered play too dangerous. It was fitting that on his return, he got to play the course in its best condition on a sun filled day.

Of equal interest to many of the Frinton members were the marvellous motor cars that Jan and his colleagues arrived in.

Plans are now being laid with Jan’s assistance to establish a reciprocal golfing arrangement between Frinton and a golf course in Denmark.
