Several competitions were played over the last couple to weeks at Frinton. The first Havers Course medal took place on 20th June. It was a mixed strokeplay event. The ladies did themselves proud. Sarah Fryer won it on count back with a score of 66, just ahead of Chelsey Duffy. Hamish Stubbs was in third place with 67.

A Friday mixed stableford took place on the 26th June. This time Nick Brown was the winner with a score of 44. Stephen Harris was just behind him with 43, and Steve Davies was in third place with 41.

Another Havers Course mixed stableford was held on the 5th July. Geoff Taylor won it with a fine score of 43 points. Sarah Fryer came in second with 40 points, and Benjamin Elliot finished third with 38 points.

And in a very special competition, a prize draw was held to win a free year’s membership to the Havers Course. Mary Johnson was the lucky winner.

The picture shows Mary being presented her certificate distantly by the two captains, Peter Gard and Viv Stansfield.
